  Sunnyvale Soccer Classes

SASC is pleased to announce our Sunnyvale Soccer classes for Summer and Fall 2026.

Sunnyvale Soccer is a series of soccer classes tailored for beginner 4 and 5 year-old boys and girls. Using a player-centric approach, the program will focus on social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Within this "discovery phase" players will be encouraged to explore movement with and without the ball through basic ball manipulation and fundamental movement skills. With a focus on "me and my ball" and "me and my friends," participants will be introduced to activities incorporating parallel and associative play. The program is designed as an entry level step on the pathway to entering our recreational and competitive games-based programs.

The classes are led by our Director of Coaching, Andrew Ransome, with an emphasis on inclusion, participation and fun.

SASC Senior Night 2026

On Thursday, May 14th, we recognized our 2026 graduating seniors with our traditional send-off game against the SASC coaches held at The Kings Academy stadium.

Thank you to everyone who came out to share in the fun and to cheer on our players.

After a warm introduction of our competitive coaches and Class of 2026, it was time for the main event: seniors vs coaches. The seniors took the field with heart, hustle and no shortage of determination; playing with the same passion that has defined their years at Sunnyvale Alliance. The coaches, for their part, brought their A-game. It was a hard-fought match and a joy to watch from start to finish. Bragging rights go to the coaches this year, but the real winners were everyone who left their heart on the field and those who on the stand who got to witness their joy.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 and best of luck on your great next adventure. We can't wait to see what you do! Whatever you do, though, we hope that you carry the memory of your time at Sunnyvale Alliance close to your heart. Soccer has a way of staying with you, and we hope the joy of the game you found here goes with you where ever life leads. We are sure that it will connect you with new people, new places, and new experiences along the way.

Coach Adam was the winner(?) of the pie-in-the-face popularity contest after the game.

Congratulations to the Seniors and good luck in the future!

All Photographs: Many thanks to all the volunteers who worked behind the scenes to put the event together:
  • Metin Gokcen, Dixon Ly and Tyler Ly for refereeing the game
  • Ivan Montiel (07B) for providing the sound system
  • Photos from Ken Matsuda and Tim Basler

Meanwhile, on the Recreational side of the club, we said goodbye to some more seniors:

Sahil, Yousuf and Angel (Weston absent) with Coaches Anaya.

SASC at Sunnyvale Community Services

SASC continues to give back to our community

On May 13, 2026, Sunnyvale Alliance staff again donated their time at the Sunnyvale Community Services food distribution center. Hundreds of bags of food were prepared and distributed to the drive-through collection service.
