SASC Competitive Soccer Program

Purpose

Sunnyvale Alliance Soccer Club provides a safe environment for developing creative, technically skilled, competitive soccer players.

Players train year-round and participate in league games during the fall and spring seasons. Teams will practice 2-3 days during the week and compete in games or tournaments on the weekends.

Younger players (7v7 & 9v9) emphasize technical competency and learning the game.
Older players (11v11) focus on playing the beautiful game with rhythm & creativity.

Our teams compete in the NorCal Premier Soccer League and Cal North Youth Soccer Association.

SASC also offers a comprehensive Recreational Soccer Program

Age Groups

2025/26 Soccer Year

US Club Soccer currently mandates that youth soccer teams are formed from players with the same year of birth.
Sunnyvale Alliance uses the following naming convention for its competitive teams:
  • 14B-R : 14=players born in 2014, B=Boys, R="Red"
  • When there are multiple teams in an age group, they are labeled with a color: Red/White/Black/Silver/Gray
The playing leagues in this area run for a soccer year that starts on August 1st and ends the following year on July 31st.
Teams are registered into an "Age Group" of a playing league for the entire soccer year. e.g. U10.
The Age Groups are named based on the maximum age that any player can be before the start of the soccer year.
For example: "U10" means all players must be Under 10 years old on the first day of the soccer year (Aug 1st)
